The first time I listened to Jaejoong's Mine I really started to remeber why I love Asian music. It got me thinking about jpop (even when it is a kpop song) and everything I loved about Jpop back in the day. The dark theme mashed up with a beautiful piano, the wonderful symbolic and the heavy feeling. I didn't expect this from Jaejoong (not from many Korean artists at all) and it was a wonderful surprise. It is like one of those awesome anime intros that you remember for the rest of your life, not just because it is a good song but also how it matches the story and your feelings. I think this is my favourite song this far in 2013!
I am not going to write more about this song here, a lot of other people have already done so, but I really wanted to share it with the people out there who haven't seen the video yet. Be sure to check it out!
I realized that I haven't done a real post about Boyfriend, at least not since I started to write in English. Maybe it is time? I think so, especially when the opportunity arises with there new music video for I Yah!
I took me almost a week after its release before I watched the video, mostly because I have had a lot of other things to do, but I liked it the first time watching it.
Maybe I have to turn back time a little and explain myself to you. The first times I got in contact with Boyfriend I didn't really like them that much. I Thought that they were just any other boy band out there with a couple of nice boys. Sure I heard there music but it wasn't more than that for me. But now I have started to realise how many of there songs I really frequently listening to. They are one of those bands that just creeps into your play-list and then they starts to take over the whole thing!
Another thing that I suddenly realised is how good they really are, they have only been active for two years and they sing and dances great! and judging by there new music video they also tries to not only be those cute boys but really step it up a bit!
So the video and music then. The song is really catchy, especially the chorus. I got the I Yah in my head for life now! The dance is also cool with kind of easy but nice moves that matches the song quite nicely. At least they look awesome doing it with little chest-rubbing and leg-flipping. And don't forget the out-calling with the hands. And the arm dance where they almost touches each other!! Gaah!! *overheating*... (Sorry, something is wrong with me today >___< )
The lyrics is also nice even if some of it maybe is not that easy to understand. When I read it I get the feeling that there is this love story and that somehow it is painful. My first thought was that the song is about growing up and be capable to catch love, or the interest of the girl at least. They both want the girl to do the work (if you can say it like that) by suddenly realise that the boy are there, but there is also talk about how the boy will get her attention himself. Catch her in his hands. The story is an easy one, how painful it may be, and it is the same old story of unreturned love. But the video grasp that concept with the cute girl in school and I have to be happy about that.
School huh? I understand the thought behind this as well. The band members aren't that old yet, yes the leader is born 89' but three of them are still 17, and they haven't been working for so long. School is a natural place for these young bands videos because it is appreciated by all even if I had hoped to see something different. At least the band is on its way away from this pretty-boy-image, just look at the leatherand studs in the dance-sections of the video, but then it is back to the school uniform in the story. I think these two clashes a bit with each other. Don't you? Maybe I have to accept it as it is and just be happy about the bad boy-feeling you get at the end when the boys grows up and is helping the girl. Standing up for her when she is in trouble, driving her home on there motorcycle... Yeah, I can appreciate that.
And then we have the whole all-members-and-one-girl-thing that I don't really know if I should comment or not. They did succeed with the story so it matches the lyrics but I still think that they could all be in love with different girls and still make it this good. Maybe even better. Different girls could have given the boys all a different story and could have matched with there personality's a bit more! but hey, that is my opinion and they made it work.
So finally, what did I think. It isn't my favourite song of the year but it is rather cool. I like the way it easy get stuck in your head and the way it will be easily remembered. So it is really good even if it isn't the best video ^__^
Yes, now I have made it trough my first week of dieting and it works. I have lost almost 3 kg (2,9) and the calculated was 1,2 for my attack-period. I am happy! But it was a bit hard, my body misses all the sugar so a couple of nights I have really been craving it, I have also easily been cranky over small things and I think that also is because of my body and everything it is used to have and wont right now :/ But I succeeded! So now I can start adding veggies to my food and it is going to be so good <3
It feels like my fiancé doesn't really care if he is dieting or not so I have to stick with it even harder right now, I want to loose some more! I know that we both will cheat a bit on Saturday, we are invited to a party, but sometimes you have to have fun as well!
Before then my new course is going to start, history 1. I am both happy and afraid, they say that this is one of the hardest courses you can read on this level of studies but at the same time is it going to be so fun to study something new. Hopefully it is going to be ok, I am waiting for the first lecture now. In the mean time I will be able to listen to some old and new music ^__^
First I would like to say: welcome back B.A.P... or did I wish for to much?
I miss the kind of sound that B.A.P come with in there debut last year. They had this hard, cool sound with warrior and continued that for a while. Then come Stop it, a song that got a long post on this blog from me.I thought that the song wasn't as cool as it should be and even if it is a nice song it doesn't really match my picture of B.A.P.
I just watched Rain Sound a couple of times now and this video is also different. It is sad and easy whit this yearning lyrics and sound. Some of the B.A.P-feeling is back with the good rap and manly voices, but it is also filled with boyish crisp sounds and a pitiful feelings.
Bang Yong Guk have some trouble to keep it civil!
Somehow I think the song is better than Stop It but the video is a bit dull. It doesn't have as much things to think about as Stop It at least. They are only showing the boys standing alone in a room and breaking different things; Burning a mannequin, trashing a chair, pouring poison in the flower water... and then this green rain falls over them (like poison) and stuff explodes and they get all shot in the chest... really a WTF-moment!
I like manly men crying as much as every other girl but I don't thing that is a theme that matches this bands image and even if it should be it is a bit dull to build the whole video on even when the settings and the light matches really well. I myself would have liked a video that tells a story a lot more. The lyrics have a lot of thing to work from like the red umbrella, the heavy rain and the boys odd sad feelings lying in there beds and thinking about her. A girl in the video may have matched also in flashbacks ans such.
But instead we get the different metaphors for how they try to erase the girl from there mind (by burning, ripping, throwing it away) and at the same time trashing all of the things. (One other thing I was wondering about was the ambulance, what the hell are that doing there? did they burn down the whole place?)
Cute Zelo pour all his hate into the vase instead...
So the song is fully ok, not there best but ok. The video is a bit boring in my taste but I will still watch it a lot I think, mostly to listen to it.
And Hey, I haven't told you to see my new playlist on Youtube yet, have I? I have a new one for kpop in 2013 so be sure to check it out! And of course you are welcome to add your opinion on this post if you like, I want people to write to me a bit more! Love you and see you later!
Yesterday was my first day of dieting, here is the list of things I have eaten:
Breakfast Mini-Yogurt (no sugar nor fat added) A boiled egg Water Lunch grilled meat (from yesterday) A little bit of quark (I am not sure that this is right translated but Kvarg in swedish anyhow) A boiled egg Water
Dinner Chicken Scrambled eggs Milk I have realized that I am going to have some fun making new things for this diet. My sister have given me some recipes to try and later on I am planning to try different things myself. I thing te first day went really well, I haven had any troubles yet.
After some thinking and discussions I have decided to try a diet my sister have tried. I am usually not found of dieting, I think you looses something when you always think about what you eat. But right now I really need to loose some weight and I can at least try.
So the thing I am going to try is Dukan (AKA the Princess Diet, I really like that name <3). It is a diet where you eat a lot of protein and excludes almost all carbs. Dukan is built on four different phases; the first one you eat only protein like meat and egg, the last one you eat as you usually do but have one day each week for meals on only protein. It is a way to restart the way you eat and the way your body takes care of your food (it is hard to describe in English >__<) and for me that sounds like something that can work.
I am not to sure how well this is going to go for me personally, I don't like not being able to eat what I want. But hopefully I can loose some weight at least (even if I don't really think I will loose all the weight that the web generator calculated for me). The best thing is that my fiancé decided to also try so at least for now we are two fighting with it! But maybe that will be a problem later on if one of us gives up because I think it is hard for the other one to continue alone...
Well, we will see. Maybe I will post some updates here about how it is going because it can be a nice way for me to keep track myself when I usually don't like to talk about these kinds of things, with all the people around me, when I am so afraid that I wont succeed >___<
After my long post about Kim Sung Kyu's 60 sec I decided not to make another one based on his new song I need you. And I didn't, until now! I can't help myself, I am really in love with his voice >__<
This video isn't as interesting and as good as the last one even if the use f black and white in the beginning of the video matches the feeling, and the change to color is good for the feeling as well. It hasn't so much of a story but instead it is held up with the lyrics. The song is basically about needing strength and and help from another person in dark times, a really sad message. The melody is easy and sad but also a little bit uplifting and hopeful as well, something that hits me right in the heart. You throw away all your carefulness because the need of another person is so strong that nothing matter any more.
The reason that I can't stop myself from posting about this song right now is that it really matches the feeling I usually have this time of year, right after new year and before spring. It is sad and cold but at the same time a bit hopeful with the sunshine coming back and a whole new year ahead of us. I somehow compare the way this song makes me feel right now with the wayBig Bang's Blue made me feel last year even if Blue wasn't released until 21 of February and I need you was released in December. Blue was pure awesomeness and I need you can't really reach the same level but the both have the same feel about them and Kim Sung Kyu have a beautiful voice.
Kim Sung Kyu - I Need You
Big Bang - Blue
I am not going to write more about this song right now but I hope you listen to it and likes it and feel free to ask questions if you are interested to talk more about it!
